How does the nation's largest public HBCU create competitive and driven business leaders?
At the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics (COBE) at North Carolina A&T State University, the answer is with the Deese DART Initiative, powered by Suitable.
We invite you to please join Dr. Jenard Moore (Director of Student Success and Professional Development) and Dr. Jason Caldwell (Interim Assistant Dean of Student Success & Programming) on May 27th at 1 PM as they showcase the triumphs and successes of implementing the DEESE DART student success framework. Deese DART (Developing Academic and Retention Tools) initiative is a 100% gamified, mobile-friendly student experience that encourages student professional development both inside and outside of the classroom. As students engage in experiential learning opportunities and high-impact practices, they earn Deese DART points and digital badges across various competency areas. Through these, students can attach real meaning to their development and articulate their growth throughout their student journey.
Learn how Jenard and Jason have cracked the student involvement code by leveraging Suitable to skyrocket student engagement by over 1000% in a single semester. Dr Moore and the Success team will also dive into program metrics and explore key program data/insights they get from Suitable. This includes a behind-the-scenes look at the seamless integration of DART into the Freshman curriculum, along with the proven strategies for securing faculty buy-in.
