In partnership with the Frederick Honors College at the University of Pittsburgh, please join us on April 29th at 12pm (ET) to learn how they have modernized the Honors student experience by implementing a competency-based framework to amplify co-curricular learning and drive student success outcomes. The Honors Outside the Classroom is a points-based system that embeds co-curricular learning and experiences – the hallmark of Honors education – into the formal academic credential, essentially allowing students to earn degree-level credit for their co-curricular work and engagement. The Honors OCC initiative, powered by Suitable, seamlessly connects students with high-impact learning in research, internships, entrepreneurship, leadership, and community service, and provides them access to articulate their honors experience.

Discover how the Pitt Honors OCC is breaking down silos and enabling undergraduate students to curate personalized pathways to articulate their development and prepare them for lifelong success.

  • A breakdown of the Pitt Honors Outside Classroom Curriculum (OCC) competency framework, program requirements, and student milestones.
  • Key strategies and examples of how the Pitt Honors OCC is leveraging Suitable to streamline experiential learning opportunities like student contracts.
  • An introduction to the implementation of the Honors OCC at the Pitt-Greensburg campus.
  • Real-time insights on the impact of embedding co-curricular learning into the Honors student journey.
  • Live Q&A with our speakers
