Elaney Chi, Solution Success Manager at Suitable, joins Doug Meyn, Program Director at the University of South Florida, for their poster session, "Bridging the Gap: Connecting Curricular and Co-Curricular Learning with Interoperable Tools" at EDUCAUSE 2025!
Higher education institutions increasingly recognize the value of co-curricular learning, yet siloed systems often limit their ability to track engagement and provide students with a comprehensive record of their development. While research highlights the positive impact of co-curricular participation, many institutions continue to struggle with fragmented tools that make effective support and tracking difficult.
The University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business addressed these challenges through the Bellini Certification Program, launched in partnership with Suitable. By integrating curricular and co-curricular experiences, the program streamlines engagement tracking, reduces administrative complexity, and strengthens faculty buy-in. Since launch, it has expanded into more than 300 courses, generated over 50,000 activity completions, and certified more than 50 students. This session features an interactive discussion where participants can share challenges, compare approaches, and explore how interoperability can advance engagement and institutional effectiveness.
