Welcome to Invested Interests, our latest Suitable Innovator Series. This ongoing series will explore on how focus, investment and assessment are changing on campuses across the country in the wake of a global pandemic. To guide you through it all is your Invested Interests host Dr. Loria Brown Gordon. Dr. Gordon is the Associate Dean of the W.E.B. Du Bois Honors College at Jackson State University, a prestigious HBCU in Jackson, Miss.

In this episode, we'll mark the two-year anniversary of the COVID-19 lockdown and explore the many ways universities around the country have shifted focus, time, resources and goals in the two years since. We'll also hear from two Jackson State students as to how the past two years have shaped their educational experience. In this presentation, we'll review:

  • Pre-pandemic practices
  • How JSU pivoted during the pandemic
  • Student perspective post-pandemic
  • Lessons Learned and where do we go from here?
