In recognition of women’s history month, join us for a discussion surrounding effective programs and strategies for developing the pipeline of women in leadership.
In this episode, we'll discuss developing women as leaders that support students’ experience and success within higher education. Dr. Murrell and guest speaker Crystal McCormick Ware, Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Advisor to the President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Duquense University will discuss opportunities and barriers for developing women in leadership including:
- Sharing examples of the effective strategies and efforts that contribute to the advancement of women on our campuses
- Understanding the persistent barriers that explain the lack of women in academic areas such as STEM among students, faculty and staff on our campuses
- Recognizing the ways in which a lack of women in leadership roles has an impact on the experience and success of students on our campuses
- Discussing the impact of mentors, role models and other important relationships for supporting women in non-traditional majors and professions in terms of their success
