We invite you to join us for our first event of 2023 on Wednesday, January 18th at 12pm (ET) for Episode 4 of Dr. Murrell's "How It Works" webinar series. In this episode, Dr. Murrell will interview Howie Howarth from Missouri Southern State University's Honors Program. Howie won the Pathways 2022 award for Highest Engagement Rate. How did he do it? Howie has embedded Suitable into many aspects of the Honors experience, with much success. This has made student engagement inescapable for honors students and helps him reach nearly his entire Honors student population on an ongoing basis.
The Honors Program at Missouri Southern State University is an academic pathway, comprised of 18-20 credits, that also leverages Suitable to facilitate enriching student experiences which aim to support students in their leadership abilities, interdisciplinary thinking, and engagement as civic and global citizens. Honors students have the advantage of a distinguished learning environment, as Honors classes are only offered to those in the program and also limited to fifteen students. With Suitable, MSSU Honors students enjoy equitable access to resources & opportunities; activities within their living-learning communities; and complete a service-learning project and a study abroad trip as part of their Honors coursework.
There is no cost to attend and a post-event recording will be sent out to all those who register.
