A college education used to help students stand out in a competitive job market. Today, however, a bachelor’s degree and a solid GPA are simply the baseline. As employers increasingly look beyond academics for evidence of career readiness, experiential learning and skills development are becoming essential (Job Outlook 2023, 2022). Colleges and universities are responding by designing co-curricular programs that help students build competencies outside the classroom.
To meet this demand, Providence College School of Business partnered with the PC Chirico Career Center to develop the Friar Leadership Immersive Program (FLIP)—a high-impact, experiential initiative designed to guide students through intentional personal and professional development from their very first year. Powered by Suitable, the FLIP program offers students a mobile-first experience focused on building workforce-ready skills through activities that align with their interests and career goals. With the addition of PCBiz Basics and Advisory Tracks, the program continues to expand into second- and third-year student experiences.
Tune in to learn how the Providence College team built a scalable and impactful student engagement program, how it supports growth across all undergraduate years, and how Suitable helps them track student development and drive participation.
