Are you looking for ways to facilitate student engagement and help students track the milestones they’ve achieved throughout their honors journey?
The John H. Martinson Honors Program (JMHP) fosters curiosity, creativity, and connection—to the JMHP, Georgia Tech, and communities beyond. To build these “three Cs,” students must be actively engaged with JMHP events and programming to have a meaningful experience during their time at Georgia Tech. That’s where Jacket Journey, a student engagement initiative, comes in.
Join Kelsey Krauss (Senior Client Success Manager, Suitable), Amie Raines (Programs and Operations Manager), and Amara Anderson (Program Manager) from the JMHP at Georgia Institute of Technology as they explore the strategic partnership with Suitable to drive student success with Jacket Journey.
Jacket Journey, powered by Suitable, is the mobile software that allows students to document their developmental journey while in JMHP. Jacket Journey creates an interactive experience that gamifies and incentivizes student participation while helping students foster and articulate their skills and co-curricular experiences in four specific competency areas. As students continue to participate in events, engage in reflection exercises, and have experiences on campus, they earn points and shareable badges. Jacket Journey also generates a co-curricular transcript that articulates the student's experiences while in JMHP.
This session will provide:
- An overview of Georgia Tech’s Jacket Journey program structure, requirements, microcredentials, and competency framework.
- Best practices for integrating High-Impact Practices into the Honors experience.
- Insights into how Honors Programs are leveraging Suitable’s student involvement data to drive student success and eliminate administrative headaches.
- Live Q&A with Amie, Amara, and Kelsey.
