In partnership with the Honors College at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell (UML), please join Associate Directors, Rae Mansfield, Ph.D., and Julian Zabalbeascoa, M.F.A. on March 25th at 12PM (ET) to learn how they have reimagined the Honors student experience with their co-curricular engagement initiative, Honors By Design. Honors By Design provides these high-achieving scholars with a curated array of focused experiential learning opportunities, seminars, study abroad programs, research projects, and networking events. Before Suitable, they had to rely on legacy tech and manual processes to manage the program, which impeded student involvement. With Suitable, they were able to modernize their student experience and propel student engagement rates. All while reducing administrative burden and improving their data collection and reporting capabilities.

Honors by Design, powered by the Suitable, encourages students to engage in experiential learning opportunities outside of the classroom, within the Honors and campus community. Students develop essential skills, build an ePortfolio, and track their co-curricular participation seamlessly in one centralized record. This initiative empowers students to take control of their personal and professional growth through completing various tasks, events, experiences, and workshops offered to them through the Honors College. As students progress and reach certain milestones, they earn points and micro-credentials that are automatically documented, in their ePortfolio.
This event will provide:

  • An overview of  UMass Lowell's competency framework on Suitable.
  • A breakdown of their programs' structure, branding, badges, and how students use the platform to document their learning and development.
  • Best practices and useful student engagement strategies for Honors students.
  • Live Q&A with the UML Honors College team!

As always, there is no cost to attend, and a post-event recording will be sent out to all who register
