How can we guarantee business students a competitive edge in the job market following graduation?
The University of Akron's College of Business had the same question and decided to jump into action with their career readiness initiative, Experience Guarantee. Join us on April 23rd at 12 PM (ET) as Jeff Klemm and Erin Ligget from The University of Akron showcase how this unique professional development program is helping their students build key skills and improve their career mobility.
The Experience Guarantee initiative has been refined over the course of seven years and has recently embedded the NACE competency framework. Within each competency, students are provided curated activities, events, and projects to complete - similar to degree paths in the academic transcript. The program is divided into two parts, Blue and Gold. Blue is required of all students before their graduation, while Gold Honors is an optional track for high-achieving students. By participating, students can explore potential career paths, gain relevant work experience, learn valuable job-search skills, and develop a competitive edge in the job market.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how Suitable has helped Jeff and Erin modernize their student tech to better guarantee post-graduation success.
This event will provide:
- An overview of the chosen competencies for the Experience Guarantee framework.
- A breakdown of their programs' structure, branding, badges, and how students use Suitable to document progress in their portfolio.
- A look at the recent engagement data and student outcomes.
- Live Q&A with the University of Akron team!
As always, there is no cost to attend, and a post-event recording will be sent out to all registrants!
